Baracuta made the first-ever harrington jacket, which is now much copied but the definitive harrington jacket is only made by us! Founded in 1937, brothers Isaac & John Miller set about designing a revolutionary jacket and the G9 Jacket was born, complete with our exclusive Fraser Tartan lining.
Dressing Icons and Legends Since 1937
The G9 Jacket was later to take on the name of ‘Harrington’ after being worn by the character ‘Rodney Harrington’ in the 1960s TV programme ‘Peyton Place’. In fact, we’ve been dressing icons & legends our entire history with celebs such as Elvis Pressley, Frank Sinatra, Steve McQueen, Liam Gallagher, Thierry Henry, and Daniel Craig ... the list continues! We see a huge level of interest and followers from these icons of cool wearing our famous G9.
Baracuta have an avid following, with firm fan bases from mods & rockers, to the ivy league & skinhead generations. We are famous the world-over for our G9 Jackets, and are fast becoming the complete men’s casual collection brand with shirts, polos, t-shirts, trousers and knitwear.
We have historically always been a menswear brand, but success of a women’s version of the G9 and G10 harrington jackets opens up new markets."
